Finance Assistant

Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant. An Avonmouth building firm require a Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant to join the team. The hours of work for this position is 7.30-4.30 Monday to Friday.
The Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant will assist the finance team by undertaking general finance administrative duties.

These duties include:

  • Overall responsibility for raising sales invoices and applications for payments and sending them to the customer as per the customers’ process
  • Sending sales ledger statements to customers
  • Dealing with customers invoicing queries
  • Preparation of weekly subcontractor payments
  • Monthly CIS Reconciliation and Submission to HMRC
  • Entering purchase invoices
  • Dealing with purchase invoice queries and producing a monthly report on queries
  • Reconciling purchase ledger statements at the end of each month
  • Overall management of petty cash
  • Overall management of the company credit card reconciliations
  • Daily analysis of vehicle tracker to assist lateness and working hours monitoring
  • Reconciling the current bank account on Sage
  • Carrying our general admin tasks including answering the telephone, emails, liaising with customers; dealing with finance related queries.



The Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant will need:

  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Sage 50 Accounts Professional
  • Microsoft applications, particularly Excel
  • Effective time management
  • Highly organised
  • High data input speed and accuracy
  • Attention to detail
  • Confidentiality



The Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant salary is £21-23k + benefits
