Senior Project Manager
Senior Project Manager. An energy transformation firm based in Swindon are looking for a Senior Project Manager.
The Senior Project Manager will come and join the operations team and work on multiple projects around the UK where you will be the primary point of contact internally and externally. The Senior Project Manager will focus on large complex projects ensuring effective communication is maintained with all stakeholders throughout the project life cycle from award to completion.
The Senior Project Manager will be a self-starter with project management experience within the electrical industry who challenges what we do on a daily basis and thrives working in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines helping us build for the future
The Senior Project Manager will:
- You will deliver projects on time, to our quality standards and within budgets to maximise profit.
- You'll provide project planning, milestone management, scope management, resource management, contractor management, financial management and change management across the project portfolio.
- You will be working closely with internal and external stakeholders and clients ensuring our projects are delivered first time, every time. You will embed project control and governance aligning with company processes.
- You will be designing and maintaining accurate and current programmes of work for the projects you deliver.
- You will support the Commercial team with project feedback, recommendations and lessons learned.
- You will be delivering projects sustainably in consideration of competence, capability and safety.
- You will attend sites, when necessary, to set contractors to work and troubleshoot and monitor quality and conduct management audits.
- You'll ensure cross-programme dependencies are managed accurately and efficient change control methods and processes are utilised.
- You will act as a mentor to the broader PM team supporting continuous development.
The Senior Project Manager will have a proven track record of:
- Proficient use of Productivity and Collaboration Software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint etc. across multiple platforms such as smart phones, tablets, laptops etc.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt communication styles
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to use own initiative as well as work collaboratively as part of a team
- Competent in MS Project or equivalent Project Management software
- Managing the project life cycle, from ownership to completion
- Good awareness of electrical networks and supporting documentation & industry terminology.
- Ability to create and present project report, particularly progress against target and budget
- Agility in challenging situations, with the ability to find appropriate cost-effective solutions
- Excellent customer management
- Drive to support the development of junior colleagues
You'll already have experience & qualifications in:
- Project Management qualification or equivalent experience (e.g. Prince 2, APM, PMI)
- Full UK driving license (Maximum of 3 Penalty Points)
- CSCS (or equivalent)
- SPA (Petrol forecourt)
- SSSTS
- Emergency first aid at work.
- Experience working alongside Design teams.
- Experience working in the electrical industry (ICP/IDNO/DNO/CPO).
- Experience working with multiple voltage levels.
The Senior Project Manager salary is £50-65k + car allowance + bonus + excellent benefits
