Commercial Administrator

Commercial Administrator. An Avonmouth based flooring firm are looking for a Commercial Administrator to join the team. This role the hours are Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:30 Monday to Thursday and Friday 07:30-16:00.
The Commercial Administrator will contribute to the commercial department by collating orders, setting up projects and processing measured works / general information and providing holiday cover for other departments when required.

This is a full time role although 4 days a week could be considered for the right candidate (pro rata).

The Commercial Administrator key responsibilities:
 

  1. Collating and setting up new orders 
  2. Setting up survey packs for site measures and calculating approximate material quantities 
  3. Coordinating surveys requested and returned to manage workflow for the commercial team 
  4. Collating site measures and from these producing job packs detailing areas to be installed and material schedules for ordering (by others) 
  5. Filing/Administration 
  6. Daily checks of the commercial team voice message system, delivering messages when and where necessary
  7. Provide holiday cover for the Commercial Department when required 
  8. Any additional tasks as requested by Commercial Director. 



The Commercial Administrator will need:

  1. Commercial administration experience
  2. Strong attention to detail skills & an ability to maintain them whilst working under pressure 
  3. Excellent organisational skills 
  4. A sound commercial approach to problems and solving them 
  5. Proficient in IT (especially Excel, preferably Callidus) 
  6. Proven track record within contract and domestic flooring would be desirable 
  7. Full clean UK Driving licence would be desirable 



The Commercial Administrator salary is £26-27k + employee assistance programme, pension, free parking, 20 days annual leave, plus 3 days additional for December holiday shut down.
